KC2DWQ's Perl Module
KC2DWQ has written a free perl module for controlling the FT-897 via the CAT interface. You may obtain more information at FT8xxCAT
This is not a fully developed program, instead it is a library so that other developers can quickly and easily develop their own custom software.
- Calibration Dumper is a perl script that uses the module to dump the radio specific alignment data for backup purposes.
- eeprom dumper is a perl script that uses the module to dump the entire eeprom for backup or analysis purposes
Some free tools to save/edit/restore FT-897 parameters and memories have been developed by IZ5RLS and can be downloaded from his website.
IZ5RLS is also actively working to build a complete map of the FT-897 memory layout. Current findings are published in his website.
